Big Banner is an unlockable medium difficulty Battle Opponent. They were released in September 2013 as part of the Cash Shop Monthly Challengers series, and match the "groups of animals" theme of the September 2013 Collection.[1]
Unlocking[]
Big Banner can be unlocked by using the Soaked Research Notes, a Cash Shop item available for 250 CSC. As of 2022, the Soaked Research Notes return to the Cash Shop each September for the duration of the month.[2] This summoning item also doubles as a Book; reading it to a Pet will not unlock the challenger. Once unlocked, Big Banner can be permanently found in the cash shop challenger tab in the Battle Coliseum.

Random Loot[]
You will receive one of the following items when defeating Big Banner on wins that do not give guaranteed loot. As a medium difficulty opponent, it is also possible to earn Medium Tokens for the Battle Shop when defeating it.
Random loot was added to all Battle Coliseum opponents, including Cash Shop opponents who previously did not drop battle loot aside from a 5th win item, after the overhaul of the system in February 2024.[3]

There is one Achievement for defeating Big Banner five times which was added in November 2017.[4] Prior to this, the Stinging Gauntlet was one of their fifth win loot items and could be earned multiple times.
